Director's Picks and Party Invites for Fringe NZ 2003
The Fringe NZ team wishes you Merry Christmas and the very best for 2003. We are ramping up with the holiday season, our programme is whirring through the presses, production teams are solving the final details and the party crew is auditioning talent.
Talking about the parties, I'd like to extend an invitation to the following celebrations: The Ten Fast Years Birthday Programme Launch. The birthday bash you always wanted but couldn’t find. Fringe NZ will reach double digits surrounded by innovative performances and a who’s who guest list of stars. Get the real goss on the Fringe before the rest of the city at the party of summer 2003. Dress to be noticed. Thursday 30 January, from early evening till late, Massey Great Hall, Old National Museum Fringe NZ Awards Ceremony, where participants are honoured for their work with the presentation of ‘Stellars’ our own Fringe NZ and Sponsors’ awards. Sunday 9 March, 4-8pm, Paramount Theatre, 25 Courtney Place.
In addition Fringe NZ is driving the Pacifica and Taki Toru (Maori) programmes and a host of Free Fringe outdoor events, from NZ's biggest ever percussion event, through a youth day of fun and the national footbag champs to a visual tourists weekend and ending with a new media and art-information-technology exhibition.
We hope you enjoy the 2003 Fringe NZ Festival: 10 Fast Years and wish you all the best for the festive season. A short list of my Director’s Picks for the 2003 festival is attached. If you would like more information or contacts for these shows please contact Ceridwyn Roberts on 021 243 6995.
