Independent Music New Zealand: The Future Of Music Today
IMNZ announces the appointment of Renee Jones to the role of IMNZ Operations Manager.
Renee has been involved with the New Zealand music scene for many years. Her past activities include being employed by Festival Records, Flying Nun/Flying In and 95bFM as well as being former manager of popular ska band the Managers and a previous host of 95bFM's New Zealand Music Show, Freak the Sheep.
Renee will be focussing on IMNZ-initiated projects and she will take care of enquiries from the media and labels.
New Zealand-owned independent labels have beeen the backbone of our local music industry for many decades and with the formation of IMNZ, New Zealand's independent labels will grow in importance as producers, promoters, curators and exporters of New Zealand's musical heritage.
