Films that have inspired generations of music video and film makers will be screened up large and outdoors in Civic
Square. Jazz students from Massey University team up to perform live with Len Lye's amazing animated films. The films
will be introduced by Radio Active 89FM's Gemma and Mark, hosts of Saturday morning arts show Caffeine & Aspirin. Event rain day: Sunday 24 November, Civic Square, 9pm. Bring a cushion for comfort. The event is a partnership
between City Gallery Wellington, the New Zealand Film Archive, Recreation Wellington, the Wellington Conservatorium of
Music, Massey University and Radio Active 89FM, with the support of the Len Lye Foundation.

Len Lye Until 24 November 2002 Presented by Telecom New Zealand Ltd Len Lye features 17 of the artist's ground-breaking
short films, 21 photograms of friends and colleagues (including Le Corbusier and Georgia O'Keeffe) and six stunning
kinetic sculptures. Len Lye is a joint exhibition between the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Govett-Brewster Art

Parker*Ceramics Until 1 December 2002 John Parker*Ceramics surveys the 35 year career and current work of one of New

Trace Murdoch*15XTABLES 8 Nov - 15 Dec 2002 Michael Hirschfeld
Gallery Local furniture and building designer Trace Murdoch's solo exhibition includes 15 meranti ply tables in various
sizes, colours and dimensions.
Some are enclosed within two large wooden boxes that restrict access to several viewing slots, forcing viewers to see
the tables through controlled vantage points or perspectives. 15XTABLES is supported by Creative New Zealand. The
exhibition is presented within the 360 programme*a full perspective on Wellington Art*which is generously sponsored by
Designworks.
