Sky Confirms It Will Screen Test Between France And The All Blacks
SKY Television is pleased to announce that it has obtained broadcast rights to screen the rugby test between New
Zealand and France during the All Blacks tour of Europe in November.
The rights to screen the Welsh and English test matches had previously been secured by SKY TV.
Coverage of the All Blacks versus England match will screen on both SKY Sport and the Rugby Channel on Sunday 10
November from 3.15am NZT and will be replayed later that morning.
The All Blacks versus France test will screen on both SKY Sport and the Rugby Channel a week later on Sunday 17 November
from 8.30am NZT and will also be replayed later that day.
The All Blacks versus Wales match will screen on both SKY Sport and the Rugby Channel on Sunday 24 November from 3.15am
NZT and will also be replayed later that morning.
Rugby Channel subscribers will be able to enjoy viewing the All Blacks versus England test in wide screen format and
during both games there will be a choice of overseas commentary available.
The SKY commentary team for the tour will be Grant Nisbett and Murray Mexted.
Sky’s Director of Sport, Kevin Cameron said, “SKY is delighted to be able to bring its audience full coverage of the All
Blacks end of year tour against its European foes,” he said.
“It will be a great opportunity to gauge the form of the northern hemisphere teams in the build up to the 2003 Rugby
World Cup”, he said.
SKY’s free to air partner for coverage of the tests is TV3 who will screen delayed coverage of the tests.
New Zealand will host these same three sides in June 2003 and coverage of the test matches will be part of SKY’s LIVE
rugby coverage.
