Tattersall's Opens America's Cup Market

Internet sports betting company, Tattersall’s Sports Betting, has opened a market on next year’s America’s Cup challenge to be held off New Zealand.
The Tasmanian-based sports betting company (tattsbet.com) has opened its market with Team New Zealand as the hot favourites at $1.50 and with USA entry OneWorld Challenge and Alinghi Swiss Challenge on the next line of betting at $5.50.
After the completion of round one of the Louis Vuitton Cup, which will decide the Challenger for the America’s Cup, the unbeaten OneWorld Challenge is the best performed of the nine teams. On the other end of the scale, Le Defi Areva of France is yet to win a race and is being offered at $161.00.
Tattersall’s Sports Betting General Manager John Mortimore said : “The America’s Cup is receiving enormous coverage in New Zealand and we thought it is only fair that fans should be able to place a bet.”
For those not keen to wait until the America’s Cup races start in February next year, tattsbet.com is also offering a market for the Louis Vuitton Cup with round two of the series set to get back underway on Tuesday.
