Gerhard Richter Survey Until 1 December 2002 A survey of exemplary works by Gerhard Richter, one of the most
internationally acclaimed German artists working today. Curated by Gotz Adriani and Gerhard Richter, the exhibition
explores Richter's relentless questioning of the language of painting, from the photo-paintings of the 1960s to the
abstract paintings of the 1980s and 90s. 'Life is not what is said, but is the process of saying, not the created
picture, but the creating' (Richter, 1989). An exhibition catalogue is available. An exhibition presented by the
Institute of Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa), Germany, in co-operation with the Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes
Wellington.
