A True Fight Between Mascalzone & Swedish Team

A TRUE FIGHT BETWEEN TIM MASCALZONE LATINO AND SWEDISH TEAM
Auckland, 6th October 2002 ­ After a delay of about three hours bacause a total lack of wind, eventually the southern wind up to 18 knots started to blow over Hauraki Gulf for the 4th race of the LVC. On the course the all-italian team “TIM Mascalzone Latino” and the swedish “Örn”.
The race has been a true fight and helmsman Paolo Cian and the crew proved to be a very good team, hard to beat. Both America’s cuppers started exactly at the same time: they both as well crossed the starting line a litlle bit earlier then the starting gun.
“TIM Mascalzone Latino” had only do bear off to cros the line while the Swedish boat had to meke a 360° turn but this allowed her to get the starboard side and the gain the very small advantage until the finishing line.
“We are very glad ­ the tactician Flavio Favini said getting back to the base ­ of today’s race, we’re getting better and better and we can race with other participants at the same level”. Tomorrow the race will be “TIM Mascalzone Latino” vs “Prada”.
