SPARC appoints Senior Maori Adviser

SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand) has appointed high- profile
professional rugby player Dallas Seymour as its Senior Maori Adviser, CEO Nick Hill announced today.
Dallas has performed at the highest levels of sport in New Zealand for the past six years, including being a member of the Hurricanes, the Crusaders and the New Zealand Sevens teams.
“Dallas has huge amounts of passion and vitality, and will be an outstanding member of the SPARC team,” Nick Hill said. “This is an important role for the organisation and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
Dallas comes from a background in the forestry industry, in roles ranging from a Research Development Analyst for McVicar Timber to Wood Buyer for Pan Pacific Forest Industries.
In addition to his work as full-time athlete, Dallas is a current member of the New Zealand Olympic Athlete’s Commission and is also a Role Model for Books in Homes for the Alan Duff Charitable Foundation.
