Tyson And Lewis Go Head To Head For The Heavyweight Title Live On SKY
To witness one of the most highly anticipated fights of all time – don’t miss three-time heavyweight champion Lennox
Lewis defend his crown against former undisputed champion Mike Tyson, live from the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee
on June 9.
SKY Pay-Per-View delivers the live hard-hitting action for $39.95, as the powerhouse Tyson (49-3, with 43 KOs) enters
the ring to try and strip the taller and more tactical Lewis (39-2-1, with 30KOs) of his WBC, IBF and IBO heavyweight
titles.
This battle will be more than just a boxing bout with Tyson and Lewis having already come to blows at the pre-fight
media conference.
So much hangs on the line for both of these outspoken fighters, but for the notorious Tyson this is his last chance to
prove to the world that he is worthy of going down as the greatest heavyweight of all time.
These two ring-warriors will undoubtedly be at their physical peak when they rendezvous on June 9 - but it is the
questionable mental fitness of Tyson that will have the punters in two minds over who they place their money on.
Lewis, the current champion is more than confident he will cement his legacy by disposing of Tyson and at the same time
keeping the heavy weight belt in Great Britain.
Tyson is fully aware that his wild ways both in and out of the ring have counted against him in the past and that Lewis
will have the psychological advantage. Despite this he is guaranteeing he will be victorious by way of knock out.
For Tyson to beat Lewis he has to recapture the winning focus and determination he possessed when he won the heavyweight
championship back in 1986, the youngest man in history to ever do so at the age of 20.
If the thirty five-year-old Tyson is not mentally prepared for this fight then it is time for him to bow out of the game
that has consumed his life since the age of thirteen.
Psychological redevelopment is something very difficult for a fighter to achieve, especially if that fighter is the
unpredictable
MikeTyson but he is in capable hands under new head trainer,
Ronnie Shields and former middleweight champion Mike McCallum.
Lewis stands six inches taller than his opponent and has a thirteen inch reach advantage, so like New Zealand’s David
Tua failed to do Tyson will have to fight Lewis from the inside where his right hook can be put to it’s most detrimental
effect.
Has Mike Tyson finally bitten of more than he can chew or will he live up to his promises and knock the World Champion
Lennox Lewis to the canvas floor – tune in to Sky Box Office to find out.
LIVE coverage of the Lewis v Tyson bout, plus undercard, airs on Sky Box Office (Sky Digital Channel 60) from 1pm, June
9, with a full replay the same day at 7:30pm.
