Fringe NZ Director, Glenda Tuaine today announced the end of her contract after two years working for the Fringe Arts
Trust.
“The Fringe NZ Festival has been an incredible experience for me. I am proud of where the festival is at now and believe
strongly that Fringe is in a healthy position to continue into the future as the premier open access arts festival in
New Zealand,” Ms Tuaine said.
“My contract with the festival was only for two years and in that time I feel that the teams I have worked with have
seen the vision and potential of the Fringe. The incredible growth of the festival during this period has been achieved
through really good team work.”
“The Director’s position is a huge role requiring an amazingly diverse range of skills,” Fringe Arts Trust Chairman,
Perry Walker said.
“Glenda, and the team she put together, have done an absolutely tremendous job for the Fringe for the past two years.
“Of course we are sorry to see her go but we wish her well in all her future endeavours and have no doubt that she will
excel at whatever she takes on,” Mr Walker said.
The Fringe Arts Trust will begin the selection process for a new director in late May.
