Air New Zealand is giving fashion conscious consumers the opportunity to do their designer winter wardrobe shopping Southern style this year at the id DUNEDIN Fashion Show. The Otago Daily Times 2002 Winter Collections showcases 14 of the City’s top designers on the catwalk on April 09. Already a hit on national and international catwalks, local designers will undoubtedly turn heads with their winter ranges.

Now in its third season, id DUNEDIN Fashion has become a celebrated and much anticipated event. id DUNEDIN Fashion takes place on the snow sparkling 110 metre platform of the Dunedin Railway Station and concludes with Peugeot After Party, Dunedin's fashion party of the year in the beautiful Flemish Gothic building.
A coup for visiting media, buyers and shoppers will be a first glimpse of the upcoming Spring Collections during the Deutz Spring Preview the finale to this year’s show. Invited fashion media and buyers can enjoy private showings of the Spring collections post-event with top international export labels of Nicholas Blanchet, Tanya Carlson, Dot Com, Mild Red and NOM D featuring in the 2002 show. Spring designs that will be sold in the prestigious boutiques and fashion houses of Sydney, Tokyo and London.
Dunedin City’s id, or identity, as a fashion centre is world-renowned. Dunedin recently received global billing as #17 in the Australian Harper's Bazaar 'Hip List 2002 - The Hot 100' "Dunedin (no really): New Zealand's new fashion frontier, home of NOM D, Nicholas Blanchet and Tanya Carlson." Fashion aficionados are seeing Dunedin as a burgeoning icon for New Zealand Fashion. Jen Ford of UK’s Wallpaper Magazine commented in October 2001. "You [New Zealand] have Dunedin, which is very dark and gothic and sort of brooding. People have compared it to the Belgium designers - definitely fresh".
