More Winter Olympic Games Coverage By Popular Demand
TV ONE announced today that due to high levels of audience interest in the Winter Olympic Games, the channel is pre-empting some previously scheduled programming to offer expanded coverage. The changes will affect Saturday 16 February and Wednesday 20 February 2002, when coverage will start an hour earlier than originally scheduled, at 8.40 pm.
Karen Bieleski, Programming Manager for TV ONE explained: "Public interest in the Winter Olympic Games has been extraordinary, with ratings far
exceeding our expectations for that time of the evening.
"Further scheduling decisions will be reviewed as the Games progress and will depend on the coverage and content that is available on each day."
