Tahu Hifi Presents The Pitch Black Invisible Tour

Fresh from an astounding set at The Big Day Out come the dynamic duo Pitch Black on their first nation wide tour of 2002. Playing on Saturday the 16th of February at Indigo on Wellington’s Cuba Street as well as Wanaka, Christchurch and Dunedin, Pitch Black will be bringing a different style mix to the party with a large selection of new material interspersed with their renowned intergalactic live set.
“ It’s going to be a different kind of gig” says Paddy Free: “ We’re going to hide in the dark and play longer, more stripped out, dubbed out versions of our current songs and mix it up with lots of new material”
Joining the duo once again are Welli’s own Rhombus also bringing a selection of unreleased tunes fresh from their Japanese technological faction in Kyoto. Rhombus proved themselves last year to be one of Aotearoa’s best live act’s playing alongside the likes of St Germain, Salmonella Dub, Trinity Roots and Ebb as well as many others. Rhombus are releasing a EP soon but a date is yet to be announced.
Agent Alvin will also be in the mix pulling out all the stops after his shithot sonic destruction of Sandwiches Original Rizla Lounge last year. His music covers a broad cross-section of genres yet remains funky and danceable
Expect a night of extraordinary bass and dubbed out soundscapes and visuals from some of Aotearoa’s finest. Well there you have it! All this for $10 presales from Flipside or $15 on the door, it’s an early start 10pm till 3am and door sales are limited so be in quick or you’ll miss out.
