LOVE THE FRINGE
FRINGE NZ – 14 February – 16 March 2002
Fringe NZ is back with a promise to be fresh and unique. Fringe NZ is a cultural and artistic experience that provides the opportunity for ANYBODY to create and present any art form.
Having had a face-lift which has seen Fringe create a new name – FRINGE NZ – a new brand, and a new theme – LOVE THE FRINGE – only makes it a more electrifying and hair raising festival to be a part of. And you can! …because…it’s that time of the year once again!
FRINGE REGISTRATION

and
KAKANO (New Work) FUNDING APPLICATIONS
Due Monday 12 November 2001
Calling all Singers, Musicians, Actors, Dancers, Multimedia Gurus, Buskers, Writers, Comedians, and Visual Artists for FRINGE SHOWS in 2002.
To register, or to apply for the KAKANO Fund you can; download forms from www.fringe.org.nz , drop by the office at Level 1, 58-60 Victoria St (opposite the Public Library), or give us a call on 04 495 8015 so we can mail one out to you.
Fringe NZ is an open-access arts festival so there is no need to worry about whether you will get in the festival or not – all you need to do is fill out a registration form, pay the registration fee and you are a part of the festival – it’s that easy.
If you are creating new and original work, you can apply to the KAKANO Fund. The KAKANO Fund, KAKANO meaning ‘seed’, has been established in conjunction with Creative NZ to provide a foundation for the development of innovative and original new works by New Zealand artists participating in Fringe.
And remember…Fringe is not just for Wellingtonians. Fringe 2001 attracted artists from Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin and overseas.
