What's up with all the gossip columns taking the capital by storm, the Capital Times (who are you Paula?) and The
Package are pimping gossip, name dropping and generally stirring! Well if you're interested The Matterhorn is still
battling noise control issues with both What's New Limited and he WCC. The Matterhorn presents a new International DJ
resident starting in October and another out of Cuba Street experience called The NOD happening at The Boatshed late
September. Tune into The Gilles Peterson show on Radio Active on Sundays, it's the highest rating show they have and is
sponsored by US, 2nd place is The Jewel School presented by horn DJs Andy and Zen. And if you're interested in hearing

masterpieces. You won't see a better looking jazz band in Wellington and naturally they fit right in down at The
Matterhorn in their groovy zoot suits. Twinset play a swinging selection of jazz and lounge classics teamed with a fair
swag of their original tunes. It's toe tapping.
Thursday 30th Expansions with b.lo Drum and bass, electronica and other scintillating dance styles that bring dance
music closer to art. Join b-lo for a cultivated and cultured weekly session of brain food from the most diligent and
unassuming DJ in Wellington. Cerebral sounds for liberated feet.
Friday 31st Mu and Vee Give it up for a kaleidoscopic blend of hip hop, future funk, soul and other fat back beats
baked to perfection by Roots Foundation founding member, Fat Freddys front-man and his sidekick monkey about town
scratchmiester VEE. Friday nights become an escape route from the debility of a working week, with some gourmet food and
drink and some head nodding at the Horn you¹ll come out feeling replenished.

Sunday 2nd The Matterhorn presents Gilles Peterson Worldwide The highest Rating show on Radio Active as determined by
the radio survey. Gilles is the main man behind acid jazz and label Talking loud, an in demand international DJ, who
attends all the best festivals in the world as well as playing a weekly club night in London, and to top that all off,
his Worldwide show plays weekly on BBC¹s Radio One and he records a special version for us. He has long been respected
by hip hop and drum n bass artists, while the new breed of garage and house acts cite him as a major influence. Tune in

soul fest is back, a monthly session of sweet soul and dancing in the Matterhorn gardens, this session was an absolute
hit last time we ran it. So get off yo' asses, and out from in front of the television and go have a couple of night

Wednesday 12th - Jonathan Crayford Crayford¹s band is a compound of experimental and traditional jazz styles. Praised
for his work in New York playing with afro Cuban percussionist Tito Puente and the man, James Brown, he is now enjoyed
in Wellington, playing twice monthly at The Matterhorn. Jonathan is joined by a myriad of Welly's most talented jazz
musicians, with the line-up changing every week, it's guaranteed FRESH!
