Mt Ruapehu Stunning For Beginning Of School Holidays
Mt Ruapehu enjoyed a fantastic start to the school holidays yesterday with over 600 snow bunnies enjoying the perfect conditions at Whakapapa's Happy Valley.
Today Mt Ruapehu is basking in sunshine with both Whakapapa and Turoa's Upper Mountains open for sightseeing with -2 degrees and unlimited visibility. Whakakapa has a snow base of 55cm and Turoa 102cm. Happy Valley is also open for business with over 800 people having already enjoyed the beginner slopes today.
