Internationally Acclaimed Rock Artist To Open
New Zealand’s First Hard Rock Cafe
Guitar legend Diesel will officially open New Zealand’s first Hard Rock Cafe in Queenstown on 22 June, marking the 30th anniversary of the international chain. With the internationally acclaimed rock artist performing at the premiere event, this opening party will be one of the highlights of Hard Rock Cafes’ worldwide celebrations.
“It’s fitting that Diesel is being flown in especially from New York to open Hard Rock Cafe’s newest restaurant,” says Hard Rock Cafe spokesperson Caroline Davidson.
Diesel will be performing ‘Burning Water’ on the night, which is a collaboration with kiwi musician, Neil Finn.
Diesel, which is perhaps most well known for his hit singles – ‘Tip of My Tongue’ and ‘Man Alive,’ has been living, writing and performing in New York for the past four years.
Diesel enthuses “Hard Rock Cafe has always been a great supporter of mine, so I’m thrilled to be coming to New Zealand as part of the international 30th anniversary celebrations. “
Hard Rock Cafe has a reputation for hosting star-studded parties with exceptional entertainment and catering. The official opening in Queenstown is set to follow this tradition, featuring Diesel and several New Zealand celebrities.
A limited number of tickets are still available for the public to attend the exclusive official opening party, but they are selling very quickly.
“Diesel fans should act fast and get their tickets quickly before they sell out,” says Caroline.
Funds raised from the evening will go to international children’s charity, the Variety Club, in keeping with Hard Rock Cafe’s strong commitment to giving back to the community.
Tickets are $85 and are available by calling (03) 441 3113.
