A maintenance crew from Mt Ruapehu went out to the Far West T-Bar for the first time yesterday to begin de-icing. As you can see from the second photo there's loads of snow and the top field is looking fantastic.
Far West T-Bar at Whakapapa Ski Area on 31 May 2001. De-Icing is currently underway in preparation for opening and the snow cover is looking great!
