Arts Board: Second Project Funding Round, 2000-2001
In this funding round, the Arts Board received 592 applications seeking more than $8.7 million. In the end, the Arts Board offered grants to 177 projects totalling just over $1.9 million.
The Arts Board has three funding programmes to which applicants apply. These are Creative and Professional Development, New Work, and Presentation, Promotion and Audience Development.

Carolyn Wu was awarded a Jack McGill Music Scholarship of $3000 towards post-graduate piano studies in Britain.
Stacey Dixon was awarded a Jack McGill Music Scholarship of $5000 to continue post-graduate oboe studies in Britain.
Lara Hall was awarded a Jack McGill Music Scholarship of $5000 towards post-graduate violin studies in the United States.
Soren Beech was awarded the Butland Music Scholarship of $2500 to continue post-graduate study in cello in the USA, which was supplemented by a $500 Arts Board grant.
