Chris Laidlaw To Present Sunday Morning On National Radio
There is a fresh feel to Sundays from June 10th when former MP and diplomat, Chris Laidlaw, hosts National Radio’s new Sunday Morning programme.
On air from eight until noon, with a stimulating magazine style format, Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw will feature several integrated segments including regular favourites, Insight and Sunday Supplement.
A vital element of the programme will be Mediawatch, a critical, analytical and investigative examination of the role of the media in New Zealand.
Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw will include music, in depth interviews and lively discussions.
Food for body and soul, with just enough humour to set you up for the day.
Programme presenter, Chris Laidlaw,is well known to New Zealanders as a broadcaster,columnist, author and former All Black. He has extensive experience in regional, national and international politics.
Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw is a significant component of the changes to regular formats on National Radio and Concert FM announced earlier this month. Announcing the changes, Radio New Zealand Chief Executive, Sharon Crosbie, said:
“Radio New Zealand has a critical role to play in challenging, informing and entertaining New Zealanders. I am delighted that additional government funding has allowed us to introduce new programmes which explore creative concepts in exciting new ways.
“I am confident that these new programmes will satisfy our dedicated regular listeners while engaging an increasing audience of New Zealanders whose interests may not be served by other broadcasters. “
