Adventurous Kiwis Keen For Land Rover Hannibal's Trail Competition
Land Rover New Zealand has had an incredible response to its $20,000 Land Rover Adventure Package internet competition,
offering the lucky winner and their partner the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the infamous 'Hannibal's
Trail,' a high country alpine route that traverses from France to Italy.
Land Rover New Zealand Sales and Marketing Manager Robin Colgan said over 4500 on-line entries have been received in
just three days and dealers had reported a constant flow of entrants into the dealerships.
"We see this as a brand campaign and wanted to break the deadlock of standard car advertising that often leaves the
consumer cold. The competition immediately gets peoples attention and the advertising rekindles New Zealand's romance
with the Land Rover brand. Response has been far greater than we ever hoped."
The lucky winners will fly business class with British Airways to France where they will join an expedition using Land
Rovers to retrace Hannibal's route across the Alps and into Italy.
Robin Colgan said the company wanted to give anyone the opportunity to win therefore entering the competition is simple.
" You don't need to own a Land Rover, or even have to take one for a test drive, just simply complete the entry form
on-line at www.landroveradventures.co.nz or complete a form at a Land Rover dealership," he said.
The Land Rover Adventures programme is managed from England, and offers remarkable off road adventures in some of the
worlds most diverse regions. Packages range from one-day experiences, to ten-night treks through the continents of
Africa, America, Europe or Australia.
The Land Rover Adventures programme has been running for several years and gives customers the opportunity to take part
in exclusive expeditions to some of the world's most exotic and remote locations. Other trips include a 7-day crossing
of the rainforests of Belize, an 11-day crossing of the Kalahari and a tour of the Desert Kingdom of Jordan.
Closer to home, Land Rover Experience New Zealand organizes expeditions for owners and enthusiasts across the 70-acre
property it manages in Paradise Valley, Rotorua.
The competition is open to all New Zealand residents over the age of 18, and closes on the 31st of July.
