NoiZyland - indie NZ Music site relaunches

Published: Tue 15 May 2001 01:03 PM
NoiZyland.com -- the indie NZ music site -- has had a makeover. A database back-end and full e-commerce capabilities have been added to the site, augmenting the existing mail-order system that has been used in the past (and which has seen NZ music distributed to over two dozen different countries).
Other features of the site have also been added to and improved: there are around 200 reviews, and 100 interviews linked to from site, with more appearing every day. The NZ Music Links section is now one of the most comprehensive on the web, with thirty different categories catering to all aspects of the NZ Music Scene.
The site has also expanded outside of profiling artists that are being sold on the site, and has started including biographies, discographies, links, reviews and interviews with virtually every indie/pop/rock band to come out of New Zealand in the last decade (with more being added all the time). The website's plan is to make the site the 'one-stop-shop' for information about NZ independent music.
Founded by indie rock boy James Guthrie, NoiZyland.com has been selling NZ indie CDs and vinyl, and informing the world about NZ music news, since 1997. Bands and labels wanting to sell their wares (or update/correct their band info pages) should contact him at james@noizyland.com.
