Lotto Plus Powerball = $7.5 Million This Week

Published: Wed 4 Apr 2001 04:28 PM
Lotto’s Division One prize this week is $1.3 million and Lotto Powerball has jackpotted for the seventh consecutive week to $6.2 million, to total a possible combined prize of $7.5 million.
This is the biggest prize ever offered in Lotto.
Previously, the biggest Lotto prize offered was $5 million, but this prize amount has always been shared between several winners.
The biggest payment to a single winning Lotto ticket is $4 million. There have been three $4 million winners – on 24 October 1992, on 5 June 1993 and on 23 October 1993.
If the big Powerball prize is not won this Saturday, it will continue to jackpot. If not won on the tenth consecutive draw, it will be shared equally by all the winners in Powerball Division Two, or the next Powerball prize division in which there are winners.
