Friday 30th Mu and Zen
The Matterhorn mainstay Mu owns The Matterhorn on Friday nights, showcasing his selection of fat funk, sticky reggae and laid back beats which wipe away a week of heavy city grease. Cleanse yourself with Matterhorn funk. Black as!
Saturday 31st - Vee and Clinton Smiley
It IS all good on Saturdays at the Horn, join Vee and guests for monkey madness. This is the perfect warm up to a Large Saturday night on the town, or stay till closing as Vee and guests keep those wheels of steel turning out classic hip hop, funk and soul. You won¹t hear this quality selection anywhere else in town.
Sunday 1st April- Spot On Sundays with Zero
Join as at The Matterhorn for laid back beats for the late summer months. Spot On Sundays, an evening session in the Matterhorn Gardens with the Navigator Zero playing a refreshing and relaxing blend of mood grooves. A friends and family session starting with the live broadcast of Gilles Peterson Worldwide from Radio Active 89FM 6-8pm. Fonky Monk and soul doctor, DJ Matt is guest DJ.

Wednesday 4th April - Optimus Prime
"the skanky bastard son of a dubious one-night stand between momma jazz and poppa hip-hop" This all original fusion of jazz and hip hop plays one night only at The Matterhorn, kicking off out LIVE Wednesdays for April. Enjoy the garden while you can with this white boy funk, as winter is just around the corner.
Thursday 5th Expansions with b.lo
B.lo plays intelligent dance music without the wankiness that infers. From techno soul to 2 step B.lo¹s Thursday is the real start of the weekend at The Matterhorn. This Bass Frontiers and Stereo Nasties resident plays a complex blend of soul and technology that goes beyond the surface of music for dancing. Head music is his speciality, you MUST check him out.
Friday 6th - Zen & Maria
Mu's playing for the Taupo massive this weekend, so we are proud to present the Matterhorn debut of Maria, form studio 9 backbar fame. Maria and Zen will make a great team for the freshest (they both work in record retail) selections of soul, funk and sexy house music with that Latin tip you love. be there!
