Saturn and VUWSA bring you the Brasil Beat Sound System Orientation 2001 and the Matterhorn brings you a special event as part of our series of intimate events in the gardens of Wellington¹s favourite Cuba St night spot. For this special event we turn on the heat as we present, from Brazil, the Brazil Beat Sound System. Coming to Wellington on an extended New Zealand stay, Brazil Beat arrived on our shores late last year, and spent summer in Gisborne where they have supported artists as varied as our own Roots Foundation and Fur Patrol. Now it is our turn!
See this husband and wife team, featuring driving Latin percussion that will have you on Copocaban in no time. Support from our Cian, a Brazilian in spirit, playing an eclectic selection of beats and pieces to ease through the evening.
Do not miss this opportunity to see some of Wellington¹s finest 21st century entertainment in the gardens of Wellington¹s finest bar, the Matterhorn. Come along and samba to the irresistible rhythms of Brazil as you sip you caipirinha and shake your groove thang.
Wednesday 6th March, at the Matterhorn in Cuba Mall. Gold Coin on the door, brought to you as part of Orientation 2001, with the help of Saturn and Radio Active.
