STRIDENT kicks off the Fringe 2001 with on-the-edge contemporary multi-disciplinary dance theatre. Movement, theatre,
visual art, projection and sound meld in an evening of vignettes, fantasies and dreams from around the dinner table.

Being Jon Stubbs

" A Bad smell is hard to get rid of "
Jon Stubbs returns to Wellington and more importantly to BATS to present the Universe Premiere of " Being Jon Stubbs ".
Jon opened a porthole in his own head and what came out was pretty surreal ( if not a thespian then " really weird ". He
stayed up late for many nights and formed it into three quarters of an hour of puppets, politicians and the odd rabbit
along the way.
So who is Jon Stubbs ? And what have others said about him ? Craccum said " pleasantly like an escaped mental patient
presenting playschool ", the Sunday Star Times said " Stubbs shows himself to be an actor of considerable range " but it
was best said by the New Zealand Herald " a sexy muffin "

narrative reveals a New Zealand full of magic, and possibility - mountains that talk, pig hunters that dance, and...

Moa Hunting is written and performed by John Bolton Theatre School graduates Kate Parker and Julie Nolan.
