Summer Garden Party To Raise Money For The Foundation For The Blind
The Foundation for the Blind is taking advantage of the fine summer weather to raise money by holding an afternoon garden party.
The garden party will be held on Sunday 18th of February between 1-4pm at Vogel House - the residence of Deputy Prime Minister Jim Anderton.
The afternoon's entertainment is being provided by Dixie Jazz and the Harbour City Strollers, with a fashion show from The Carpenter's Daughter and Sussan, and a wealth of gardening advice from gardening guru Richard Nanson.
There will be stalls featuring products from Lush, the natural skin care company and art work by local residents which will be available for purchasing.
Brent Harpur the Capital's Crazy Cartoonist will be drawing cartoons and caricatures for guests - adding in his storytelling and comedy routine.
Well-known guide dog Jazz and his owner Peter Taylor will also be attending to support the Foundation and to enjoy the Devonshire teas!
Additional refreshments are being provided by Lake Chalice Wines. Tickets to this afternoon of relaxation in the sprawling grounds of Vogel House are available from the Foundation for the Blind on (04) 389-1538 for $30 per person.
Come, enjoy the afternoon and support a good cause.
