Here is an update on current and soon to open admission-free exhibitions at the Gallery:
* 360/the Michael Hirschfeld Gallery Back to Earth - A Mural for Marz Cummings Until 18 February 2001 Watch the paint fly as eight Wellington artists work on a collaborative project as a tribute to muralist Marz Cummings, who died in 1999.
 Wild Season - Painting for Pinot Until Sunday 28 January 2001 Organised by the Pinot Noir 2001 Festival, curated by Keith Stewart. 12 New Zealand artists commissioned to make a new work in return for a case of Pinot Noir. Selected, according to the curator, for their enthusiasm for Pinot Noir and for representing the excellence and diversity of current New Zealand art.
 Home and Away: Contemporary Australian and New Zealand Art from the Chartwell Collection 3 February - 31 March 2001. Saturday 3 February, 2pm, City Gallery Wellington Special Lecture on Home and Away by Doug Hall, Director, Queensland Art Gallery.
