Just as Hero gets ready to fire up, in comes Cold. The 2001 Hero Festival has appointed Carlton Cold as official beer
for next February’s festivities in Auckland.
The events kick off on February 9 with a Hero Gala followed a week later by the famous Hero Parade and Party.
Carlton Cold will be served exclusively at these events. The brand joins 11 other sponsors as official suppliers to Hero
festivities.
Foster’s International New Zealand vice president Andrew Bonner says Carlton Cold’s involvement supports the brand’s
positioning as ‘the icebreaker’.
“Hero is all about breaking down prejudices and bringing people together across a wide range of cultures and groups.
“Carlton Cold is the social lubricant for Hero; it’ll be a fantastic event and we’re proud to be bringing Cold to Hero.
“
As well as having pourage rights, Carlton Cold will provide a float in the Hero Parade itself.
Mr Bonner said Ponsonby Road and Karangahape Road establishments would have a high Carlton Cold presence.
