The Hand Job
a dazzling new comedy about true friends and false nails. Written and directed by Conrad Newport
The Hand Job is a revenge comedy set in a suburban beauty salon. The play explores the complexities of loyalty, trust, ambition, success, and friendship in a highly entertaining yet moving story.
Marie is an ordinary young working woman, struggling to keep her small manicure business solvent. When Christine, an old school friend of Marie¹s arrives at the salon with a Œnail emergency¹, the divergent paths the two women have taken since leaving school collide in a spectacular showdown, as the past is dredged up and old scores are settled.
