LIMBURG CONTINUES TO EXPAND After Limburg Witbier being the beer in the winning combination at the Culinary 2000 Food & Beer matching competition, it is now available in draught form. Recently Chris O’Leary of Limburg made available his Witbier on draught to Bar Bodega in Wellington. Those that want to experience this wonderful example of a Witbier head down to 286 Willis Street, Wellington
EMERSONS BREWERY NOW IN BIGGER BUILDING Over the last month Richard Emerson has been moving his brewery across the road into bigger premises. NZ GOVERNMENT TO VOTE ON WARNING LABELS The members of parliament in New Zealand will have a conscience vote today, 11th October about whether all alcoholic beverage containers should have warning labels on them. Result to be advised. SAIL & ANCHOR SPRINGFEST, WESTERN AUSTRALIA Sail & Anchor have available their new beer Oktoberbrau. This beer will be available at the annual 'Springfest' that commenced 1st October running through to 26th November, 2000. Venues involved are - The Sail & Anchor Pub Brewery, The Brass Monkey, The Como, The Foundry, The Captain Stirling, The Queens and The Lynwood. ’Springfest' is a celebration of hand-crafted beer. All the venues mentioned above are organising decorations and entertainment throughout the festival. In addition there will be a competition run with a grand prize of a trip for 2 to Octoberfest 2001 in Munich.
