ORGANISE YOUR BACH ONLINE THIS SUMMER WITH BACH CLUB
Less time organising your holiday home - more time enjoying it
Managing the family holiday at the bach (or "crib") has been made much easier with BachClub.co.nz - a new free internet service that lets you manage bach bookings, usage and maintenance, and access information about holiday events, weather and holiday life. BachClub contains magazine-style articles on Kiwi holiday culture and everything you need to know about owning a Bach.
A facility called BachRent allowing owners to easily market and manage their bach (typically an under-utilised asset) for rental is planned in the near future.
Peter Miles, BachClub's founder, says, "Administering a shared holiday home can be a real hassle. BachClub provides a private, secure facility for bach communities to jointly look after a holiday home. Quite simply the tools we've designed take the pain out of having friends and family share a bach - so everyone's guaranteed a great break."
The website features images from Auckland photographer Jocelyn Carlin's book "Beach" and a range of lifestyle articles. Local holiday-spot events, weather reports and surf reports are also planned.
The club facility allows users to co-ordinate occupancy, schedule special dates such as parties, BBQs or working bees, and post messages inside their club. BachClub provides a way for all of the bach users (often an extended family) to co-ordinate plans and manage the bach no matter where they are located.
With BachRent planned for release later this year BachClub will expand its services to include optional rental marketing with automated search and booking facilities. "The average New Zealand bach would be lucky to have 20% occupancy throughout the year. Baches constitute a significantly under utilised asset. By using the planner features built in to BachClub we can seamlessly integrate rental management," says Miles.
BachClub is a free service. To encourage membership growth BachClub have an introductory competition. First prize, a Fuji digital camera, will go to the most prolific BachClub evangelist.
We are happy to make pictures of NZ beach scenes from photographer Jocelyn Carlin's book "Beach" available free of charge for publication.
