Explore Parihaka online
Dedicated exhibition website now available
Want to send a souvenir of the Parihaka exhibition to a friend overseas? Or find out more about the artists in the
show? Then check out City Gallery Wellington's new Parihaka website: www.parihaka.city-gallery.org.nz
An innovative feature of the site is a series of vivid digital 'postcards'. Visitors to the site have a choice of eight
images of works in the exhibition, including exquisite taniko weaving, paintings and historic watercolours, which can be
sent to friends and colleagues.
The website, developed by Saatchi & Saatchi Wellington, also features an exhibition overview, background on all the featured artists, and details of the
education programme and public events. Interspersed throughout are extracts of poems that have been specially
commissioned to mark this exhibition, by leading New Zealand poets.
Publications on sale at the Gallery during Parihaka can be ordered on the site, and links to related websites are
currently being developed. The new website is also accessible through the Gallery's main site: www.city-gallery.org.nz
