The artscape Limerick Competition
This limerick competition is open to anyone. Entries are limited to two original and previously unpublished limericks per entrant, should be typed one limerick to one A4 page and be signed with a nomedeplume. Entrants' name and address should be clearly written on a separate sheet and placed inside a sealed envelope bearing the nomdeplume to accompany entries. A single prize of $100 is offered for the winning entry and the contest organisers reserve the right to publish the winning entry and five others in the November/December 2000 issue of artscape in which the competition results will be announced. The winning entrant plus the five others selected for publication will be advised by post. Entrants should retain copies of their entries as no entries can be returned. An entry fee of $5, by cheque only made out to Gallery Books & Crafts, is to accompany entries.
Proceeds of the competition are to go toward establishment of a writer's residency in Wairarapa. The appointed judge's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries should be postmarked no later than 30 October, 2000. Mail to: artscape Limerick Competition, P.O.Box 99, Carterton.
