The long awaited Letterbox Lambs album will soon see the light of day!
Last Sunday night's Wellington support slots for touring Australians Spiderbait will most probably be the Lambs' last
gigs before the album's release, scheduled for late September. Letterbox Lambs have decided to self-release their album,
and are currently investigating distribution channels. Producer Mike Gibson recently returned from Australia with the
finished album master, with 301 Studios in Sydney having done a fabulous job of mastering, adding even more grunt to
Mike's great production.
The as-yet-untitled Letterbox Lambs album features 12 tracks from the Lambs' recent history, with the band consciously
deciding to capture fresh material rather than resorting to the all too common "rerecord all the old favourites"
approach to their debut full-length. The result is a more cohesive album, with the Lambs' powerful live energy captured
in full force with crisp, up front production.
Letterbox Lambs plan to follow the release of their album with a tour, and have more than enough great new songs up
their sleeves for upcoming live shows and an already planned follow-up EP.
