Dresses for Humanity to open on the 3rd anniversary of Dianas Death
Press Release:
Dresses for Humanity is to open on August 31, the third anniversary of the death of Diana Princess of Wales.
After a mountain of correspondence and numerous phone calls to the office of the Worlds of Wellington Trust, Chairman
Phil Sprey has been able to get special permission to open to the public on the day.
'Originally our agreement with the Peoples Princess Charitable Foundation and Kensington Palace didn't allow for the
exhibitions of the 18 dresses to be open on this day."
"However the requests from all over New Zealand have been so strong we asked for the OK and were graciously permitted to
allow those who wished to visit and remember Diana to do so."
The exhibition has already hosted 20,000 visitors with over 65% coming from outside the Wellington region. A huge number
of people have specially travel from Australia as well as nationwide just to see this once-in-a-lifetime event. The
exhibition is only Visiting Wellington, the only Southern Hemisphere location it will be shown in. It closed definitely
on September 3.
