Wither Hills Wine Wins Trophy Internationally

Wither Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 1999 has been awarded a Gold Medal and Trophy for Best New Zealand Wine at the 2000 International Wine Challenge, China.
The judging panel of 20 top International wine experts, chaired by Robert Joseph, evaluated wines from 30 countries.
This completes a wonderful success story for all Wither Hills current release wines.
In October 1999, the 1998 Wither Hills Chardonnay was judged first equal Best New Zealand Chardonnay at the Tri Nations Chardonnay Challenge in Australia.
In November 1999, the 1998 Wither Hills Pinot Noir was awarded Champion Wine of the Show at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards and also received the Trophy for Best New Zealand Pinot Noir at the Sydney International Wine Competition 2000.
Wither Hills Winemaker, Brent Marris, said "The success in
China is an important milestone for our wines in the rapidly evolving Asian markets, and tops an award winning year for Wither Hills".
