Celebration Of City's Cultures

A special millennium celebration to highlight the diversity of cultures in Christchurch will be held on Sunday 25 June.
The Christchurch Ethnic Council will present the entertainment called Many Voices and it will be held in the James Hay Theatre at 7pm. It will feature African drummers and dancers, an Austrian choir, entertainment by Russians and a Netherlands choir.
There will also be Green dancing, Chinese opera and dance, Indian folk dancing, and a Scottish pipe band. More than 150 ethnic communities live in Christchurch and many of them will be represented at this concert.
