NEWCALL Launches Mobile Service
AUCKLAND, 15 December 1999 – NEWCALL Communications Ltd has announced the launch of its new mobile telephone service, becoming one of only three telcos in New Zealand to offer the complete range of telecommunications solutions, including Internet, mobile, tolls, calling cards and e-Commerce. In addition, NEWCALL becomes the first telephone carrier to sign up with the Telecom mobile network.
The NEWCALL pre-paid mobile has all the benefits of a pre-paid phone with no monthly rentals. In addition NEWCALL customers will be able to establish pre-set monthly limits, while current users of Telecom pre-paid mobile phones will be able to recharge on their NEWCALL accounts.
“Our customers will receive only one account because the pre-paid mobile service will appear on the one combined NEWCALL invoice itemising all services,” explains Stephan Goodburn, NEWCALL’s Director of Sales & Marketing. “In addition, customers with pre-paid phones will be able to recharge them simply by ringing an 0800 number rather than buying a new card.”
