Telecom, EDS and Microsoft have appointed Jane Freeman, currently GM BankDirect to lead their esolutions alliance in
New Zealand. esolutions will create and deliver a full range of e-commerce applications to corporate and business
customers from early next year.
Theresa Gattung, Telecom Chief Executive, Steve Smith, EDS Managing Director and Geoff Lawrie, Microsoft Managing
Director, said they were delighted a person of Jane’s calibre and experience would lead the venture.
“We expect e solutions to play a vital role in New Zealand’s emerging online economy, harnessing the world class
capabilities of the alliance partners” they said.
“Jane is well known as a pioneer of e-commerce, having launched the first totally phone and Internet based bank in New
Zealand.”
Through esolutions, customers will gain an increased ability to participate in the on-line world from solutions that
combine Telecom, EDS and Microsoft best of breed online capabilities and commitment to long term support.
Jane will report to an Advisory Board comprising Theresa Gattung, Steve Smith, Tony Henshaw, President of the Asia
Pacific esolutions group for EDS Asia Pacific, Geoff Lawrie, Managing Director of Microsoft New Zealand and Karyn
Devonshire, Telecom General Manager of Corporate Strategy and Information Services. Jane will also be a member of
Telecom’s Executive Group.
