Simpson Grierson Appoints Partner

Leading law firm Simpson Grierson has appointed Michael Sage as a commercial law partner advising a variety of clients, particularly network utilities. Simpson Grierson is already well-established in this area of practice, and Mr Sage is able to add his considerable experience and expertise in advising those in the telecommunications, electricity, waste disposal, and water/wastewater sectors.
He also has extensive experience in corporate insolvency, and advises companies in the insurance industry, as well as manufacturers and a variety of engineering and construction companies.
Mr Sage provides advice to leading companies and public authorities in each of these sectors on issues such as interconnection, regulatory compliance, outsourcing, infrastructural/network development, mergers and acquisitions, the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, joint ventures, franchises/concessions and information technology.
Together with several members of his team, Mr Sage has joined Simpson Grierson’s Auckland office from another firm, where he was a partner for 6 1/2 years.
Simpson Grierson is one of New Zealand’s leading law firms, with 54 partners and 450 staff based in Auckland and Wellington.
