Cdstar Goes Supernova
A Christchurch based Internet innovator, backed by influential shareholders such as Southern Capital, has beaten the big guys to the market, with New Zealand's first ever public offering of shares in a New Zealand online business.
CDStar is owned by EstarOnline, a company formed specifically to develop powerful Internet retail opportunities.
www.CDStar.com is the newest online music store in New Zealand. The virtual store concept provides significant advantages over conventional music stores. Savings made on traditional overheads such as stock handling, shop rentals, and staff costs, allow CDStar to operate more efficiently and pass the cost savings on to customers.
The business hopes to capitalise on the skyrocketing share of retail business being conducted online - particularly in New Zealand and Australia.
It will be launched in Australia in mid October 1999, which will make it Australasia's first virtual music store.
The Shares in EStarOnline are not guaranteed by Southern Capital or any other person.
