300 Submissions To Energy Trust's Annual Plan

Published: Tue 21 Sep 1999 03:09 PM
Nearly 300 submissions have been received by the Hutt Mana Energy Trust on its draft annual plan.
Submissions closed last night.
The Trust originally intended considering the submissions on September 23.
However, because of the big increase over last year's 18 submissions, the Trust has moved the hearings to September 30. With more submitters wanting speaking rights, the Trust has booked the Queensgate Tower theatrette at 45 Knights Rd, Lower Hutt, starting at 10 am.
While the meeting will be open to members of the public only those who requested the right to speak to submissions will be heard by the Trustees.
Trust chairman, Chris Kirk-Burnnand said the majority of submissions had been generated by the publicity surrounding TransAlta Canada's bid to buy out the Trust's shares and to force all small shareholders to sell.
