New Zealand’s leading independent fleet management company, Fleetwise, has appointed long-time and well-regarded industry executive Richard Christensen to the role of Transformation Director.
The Auckland-based role was established following a surge of new business in the area and will focus on helping clients (nationwide) transition to low emission vehicle fleets and alternative mobility options.
Richard joins Fleetwise after 15 years in the industry and has held a range of strategic roles within the fleet management, leasing and vehicle manufacturer sectors, with a particular focus on the rapidly-emerging EV space.
Fleetwise CEO, Ambrose Plaister, says Richard’s extensive experience in the industry, particularly his involvement in sustainability initiatives, aligned perfectly with Fleetwise’s strategic direction and approach to fleet mobility.
“Sustainability, safety and fleet optimisation are currently hot topics for our clients, who face an ever-increasing array of options and decisions to make.
“Richard has the experience and knowledge to understand these challenges and guide organisations through the process of implementing fleet management changes that allow them to meet their sustainability objectives.”
Richard says he’s excited to work for New Zealand’s only true independent and impartial player in the fleet management sector.
“As a nimble and innovative organisation, Fleetwise is able to customise and adapt quickly to meet client needs – solving real problems for customers in the spirit of true partnership.
“This puts the organisation in a unique position in the market, at a time where significant changes are occurring in the mobility and sustainability space, to provide customers with truly impartial advice.”
He says he looks forward to establishing representation for Fleetwise in the Auckland region and working for a company that has a genuine focus on providing value to its customers.
Richard started in his new role as Transformation Director at Fleetwise on Monday, 29 April.
