Contact Energy’s new CFO excited for future

Contact Energy’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dorian Devers, who started his new job today (Wednesday 05/12), says he is excited to be joining a top New Zealand company with an exciting future.
Contact Energy Chief Executive Dennis Barnes welcomed Mr Devers to the team and said he would contribute greatly to what was already a strong leadership team.
“Dorian’s wealth of experience can only stand us in good stead and I am looking forward to his contribution to our strategy and performance in an ever-changing industry.”
Mr Devers, who was CFO of Westland Milk, comes to Contact Energy with vast experience in corporate finance roles over a long period of time.
Prior to his role at Westland Milk, Mr Devers worked for The Linde Group for 20 years in a variety of finance roles culminating as Finance Director for Africa, UK & Ireland where he led a team of 130 finance professionals and had oversight of three listed subsidiaries.
Mr Devers says that joining an industry leader like Contact Energy is a great opportunity.
“It is going to be good to be part of the leadership team guiding Contact Energy into what will be a very exciting future.”
Mr Devers has relocated with his family to Wellington, where he will be based at Contact Energy’s head office.
Mr Barnes also thanked Lynette Glover for her work as acting CFO while the company conducted a search for a permanent Chief Financial Officer
