PwC Herald Talks – The Relationship Between Business and Bots
7 May 2018 – PwC Herald Talks continues its 2018 tour, turning its focus to ‘Business and Bots’. This thought-provoking business
networking event is sold out in Auckland, but there is still a chance to attend the Wellington event.
In Wellington on Thursday 10 May at Shed 6, business professionals will hear from a panel of experts on the
collaboration between human and machine intelligence.
Business and Bots will delve into how this relationship can enhance business productivity and profit, in an age
fortunate to harness machine intelligence. We will explore the history of artificial intelligence (AI), where AI is
currently being adopted in New Zealand, and how it’s likely to change the business landscape.
Our keynote for this event is Josh Comrie, CEO and Co-founder of Ambit. After the keynote presentation, he will join a
panel of leaders from a cross-section of industries to further discuss how AI works within a business framework.
Josh Comrie is the CEO and Co-founder of Ambit, a New Zealand owned artificial intelligence company specialising in the
development of chatbots that enable businesses to deliver an exceptional level of customer experience. His perspective
of AI is unique as he blends the human element, a business level view of technology and the future of work. Comrie has
also invested in over 20 New Zealand hi-tech start-ups.
To see who will be on the panel in your city, be sure to check out the PwC Herald Talks website.
The series offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into a complex topic, hearing from experts in a number of
industries on the impact that AI could have on the future of their business. More than just a seminar, guests are
invited to network over a light stand-up breakfast and grow not only their knowledge, but their business connections
too. The ticket price also includes barista made coffee.
New Zealand Herald’s Head of Business Fran O’Sullivan will serve as panel adjudicator, and TV personality and journalist
Simon Dallow will MC.
The PwC Herald Talks would not be possible without the support of our proud partners; PwC, Fonterra, Massey University,
