Wellington company launches AI powered data cleaner
Online tool could unlock NZ Inc advancement in data science initiatives
Wellington, Feb 1st 2017 - Data science company Intela AI, launches Farrago, a machine learning tool to clean up dirty
data. It could save organisations thousands of hours spent manually identifying and removing duplicate records from
databases.
“This well known issue could be holding back NZ Inc from realising a huge amount of advancement gained from new powerful
data applications” says Intela CEO, Asa Cox.
Intela CTO Kameron Christopher commented “Data quality underpins all data centric initiatives and data science itself.
Be it predictive analytics, task automation, machine learning or simple customer intelligence; dirty data in, dirty data
out.”
• Farrago is the first machine learning data cleansing tool available online.
• Enterprise software vendors ask customers to allocate 25-35 days for data preparation
• Multiple local government beta testers are interested to help move transformation projects forward
• Intela is on a mission to support innovation by cleaning the world's data
Intela has been working on the challenge since mid-2017, having been asked by a large local council to help clean up
multiple large datasets in preparation for a core system migration. After exploring the problem with organisations of
all sizes, it was clear that the pain is felt everywhere and that existing solutions are cumbersome or highly context
specific. Farrago is able to cope with data of any kind and any context.
