Generation Homes renews major sponsorship deal with Chiefs

Award-winning national top 10 building company Generation Homes will remain a major sponsor of the Gallagher Chiefs for the 2018 and 2019 Investec Super Rugby seasons.
Generation Homes joined the Gallagher Chiefs’ family of major sponsorship partners in 2014, and recently renewed its commitment to the team for a further two years.
The deal will retain the placement of Generation Homes’ logo on the players’ jerseys.
Generation Homes Chief Executive Kevin Atkinson is proud to support the Gallagher Chiefs in the internationally-renowned Investec Super Rugby competition.
“Our sponsorship of the Chiefs provides a great platform from which we can make sure the Generation Homes brand stays top-of-mind for our country’s legion of rugby union fans,” he said.
“As an established company with more than 20 years building experience, it is our privilege to be associated with a dedicated, high performance organisation that aligns with our own values to achieve success and help build happy, connected communities.”
The Gallagher Chiefs have consistently finished within the top six of the Investec Super Rugby competition since 2014. The club was also the first team to win back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.
Taranaki Rugby boss Michael Collins is the club’s new Chief Executive Officer after Andrew Flexman resigned in September. Collins took over the Chiefs top job on December 18.
As a former Chiefs player, Collins is pleased to have the support of such a successful local company in his club’s endeavour to win this year’s Investec Super Rugby competition.
“There is no doubt that the Chiefs and Generation Homes have a shared set of values, which makes our continued partnership very exciting,” he said.
“Generation Homes is a truly iconic New Zealand brand and our partnership to date has been mutually beneficial. Our organisations share the same ambitious drive to be leaders and innovators in our respective industries and are always looking for the competitive edge.
“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship and acknowledge Generation Homes for their ongoing commitment to rugby in the Chiefs region.”
Generation Homes has built more than 4000 homes in 39 subdivisions, and was also commissioned to design and build new homes for star first-five Aaron Cruden and Gallagher Chiefs lock Brodie Retallick.
The nation-wide residential building company has eight joint venture operations including Hamilton and Waikato North, Northland, Auckland, Tauranga and the Wider Bay of Plenty, Rotorua-Taupo, Waipa-Coromandel and Christchurch.
Founded in 1997 by Tauranga locals Graham Hockly and David Mansel, the company has grown exponentially to achieve a $270 million turnover with more than 70 staff.
Generation Homes is committed to engaging and supporting key organisations and initiatives that deliver ongoing benefits to those who call New Zealand home.
The company’s local community sponsorships range from one-off donations to long-term partnerships with grassroots sporting clubs and other charitable organisations.
