QJumpers and WorkPro “Change the Recruitment Game” with Fast-Tracked Background Checks
Kiwi recruitment software expert QJumpers has joined forces with innovative Australian screening and induction specialist WorkPro to create a hi-tech shortcut that speeds up the hiring process in New Zealand.
Ministry of Justice background checks from WorkPro are an efficient, cost-effective and flexible way to process your NZ MoJ checks. The service offers an easy, online application, fast response times, flexibility to choose from a standard check or priority checks each time a check is processed.
WorkPro has spent the past 10 years helping organisations more easily manage workforce compliance and in more recent years, revolutionizing how Kiwi companies process and manage MoJ checks.
But the new groundbreaking partnership – QJumpers is the only New Zealand applicant tracking system to integrate with WorkPro’s system – now sees the whole process automated so that a company can order a MoJ check through the intuitive QJumpers dashboard; a candidate can complete the process online; and the finished check can be returned directly into the company’s QJumpers system within a guaranteed five-day turnaround.
This aids speed, cost and efficiency and provides a clear advantage when it comes to candidate experience – one of the key drivers in today’s competitive employment market.
WorkPro founder Tania Evans said background MoJ checks were a huge growth area in New Zealand recruitment.
“When you unite HR tech with a web-based recruiting platform such as QJumpers it can significantly enhance business efficiencies”, says Tania. “Recruiters can now more easily present better qualified, work-ready candidates, it streamlines the whole recruiting process for them, and provides their clients with a superior service. WorkPro also guarantees a 5-day turnaround for priority checks which massively reduces time to hire saving employers thousands of dollars in lost time. It’s a win for candidates, recruiters and their clients.” “Interestingly when we started doing police checks in Australia 10 years ago the only people who needed them were primarily those working with vulnerable groups – and that appeared to be similar when we introduced the service to New Zealand. But we have found that it has taken off over the course of the past three years and now it’s not just those working with vulnerable groups. Maybe it’s because New Zealand employers are becoming a bit more risk-averse, or perhaps the media has played a role in highlighting the risk around making sure people’s backgrounds are checked and validated because of the damage that can be caused by an individual.”
QJumpers General Manager Simon Oldham said WorkPro’s automated “post-and-retrieve” system provided a seamless process for clients when integrated with the QJumpers software.
“Initially we used their service manually but the idea of QJumpers is to enable our clients to be able to manage all of their recruitment needs through the software – never needing to leave from the time that they have an opening until the job is filled,” Simon said.
“Once WorkPro had completed their automated system, we jumped on board and became the first New Zealand applicant tracking system to integrate. We are still the only one.
“It is so much faster and easier for a client to click a button within their recruitment system to request an MoJ and then having the completed MoJ check automatically returned to QJumpers platform. Also, all information about applicants is contained within the one system instead of having some on email, some on spreadsheets, some in WorkPro and some in QJumpers.”
The trans-Tasman partnership might not stop at MoJ checks either, with both companies talking about automating further aspects of the hiring process.
“As WorkPro expands their integrations into other services such as workplace inductions and ACC checks, QJumpers will continue to add these services into our recruitment platform to make these services easily available to our clients with the extra convenience of never needing to leave QJumpers,” Simon said.
“QJumpers is always looking for ways to make recruitment easier for its clients. Any technology that we can implement to save our users’ time and money within the recruitment process will be considered. The partnership with WorkPro is a great example of how we have done exactly this.”
QJumpers has spent more than a decade at the forefront of an online recruitment revolution by designing and providing intuitive software and recruitment services that help New Zealand companies create a simple, efficient and easy-to-manage hiring process.
WorkPro is a specialist web-based screening and induction solution that aims to get people ‘work ready’. Providing services across Australia and New Zealand, WorkPro is fast-becoming the most powerful web-based employee screening, induction, compliance & information management solution available.
