Provoke Takes Home Two at the 2017 Microsoft Partner Awards
Provoke’s Infrastructure Team Lead Nick Westbrook took home a big win at the 2017 Microsoft New Zealand Awards with a
gong for Sales Solution Specialist of The Year.
This year marked the tenth anniversary of the Microsoft New Zealand awards, a fact which Provoke celebrated with five
finalist nominations and two wins.
The awards are a chance for Microsoft to recognise their Gold and Silver Partners and applaud their use of cloud
technologies in customer solutions.
Including the 2017 results, in the ten years the awards have been running, Provoke has picked up fourteen wins.
Westbrook said of his 2017 win “It feels amazing to be recognised amongst such high-calibre talent and to be awarded for
doing work I truly enjoy.”
“A massive thanks to Microsoft for the award and to Provoke for giving me the opportunity to succeed!”
Provoke also won the Cloud Platform category, for its work with Unitec Institute of Technology. Provoke built a student
portal to connect students to their peers, teachers, and the institute using Microsoft technologies like Azure and
Office 365.
Provoke CEO Mason Pratt said that the whole team should feel proud of the company’s achievements over the past year,
with five nominations and two wins.
“Fourteen awards in ten years speaks for itself really. I couldn’t be more proud of all the Provokers involved who are
leveraging top technology to drive business change for our customers,” He said, “We’re fortunate to have fantastic
customers like Unitec who give us the scope to do great work.”
“We would like to extend our congratulations to all the 2017 finalists and winners, and also a big thanks to Microsoft
for hosting the event.”
Provoke is hoping for more award wins this year. They submitted into the 2017 MPN Partner of the Year Awards, which
consider entries from across the globe. Finalists for these awards will be announced in June.
